Coffee and Natter Mornings in the village

Posted on March 15, 2024March 23, 2024 by admin

The Coffee and Natter Morning at Stanwell Moor Village Hall is a wonderful community event that has been running successfully for nearly two months. Join us every Thursday from 11.30am – 2.00pm at the Village Hall.

It’s great to hear that the sessions are becoming more popular each week, attracting a diverse range of people including those who are isolated, work shifts, work from home, and retired residents.

The sessions provide a relaxed and friendly environment for residents to socialize and engage in conversations with each other. It’s fantastic that pets and children are welcome, as it allows for a more inclusive and family-friendly atmosphere.

In addition to offering refreshments such as tea, coffee, biscuits, and cake, the Coffee and Natter Morning occasionally features speakers from local councils and the police who provide valuable community and wellbeing advice. This demonstrates a commitment to the holistic well-being of the attendees.

It’s also worth mentioning that the community garden is utilised during the summer sessions, allowing participants to enjoy the pleasant summer weather. This integration of outdoor space adds an extra dimension to the event and enhances the overall experience for attendees.

By hosting birthdays and opening up to the community, the Coffee and Natter Morning actively contributes to the sense of community and belonging in the village. It serves as a local meeting place where residents can come together, build connections, and foster a sense of unity.

Moreover, the fact that the sessions operate on a donation basis to support the village hall. It allows participants to contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of the facility while also ensuring its sustainability for future events and activities.

Overall, the Coffee and Natter Morning appears to be a valuable and well-received initiative that brings people together, promotes social interaction, and strengthens community bonds.
