✈️ Update on noise from Heathrow Airport. Stanwell Moor Community Watch report from the September 2025 of the Noise and Airspace Community Forum (NACF) Meeting
The recent meeting of the Noise and Airspace Community Forum (NACF), September 24, 2025.
📝 Key issues for residents
* Late-Running Flights (Night Noise):
* In August 2025, there were 31 late-running flights (flights between 11:30 PM and 4:30 AM).
* Heathrow’s team is working with airlines to try and reduce the number of late flights.
* Health and Noise Research:
* Any decision on a third runway would involve a long process that includes appraising its health impacts.
* Airspace Modernisation (New Flight Paths):
* A new service, UK Airspace Design Service (UKADS), will start at the end of 2025/early 2026. This will involve changes to how flight paths are designed.
* Multiple government Consultations (public surveys to gather feedback) on these changes will be launched by December 2025.
* A draft of the new airspace change process is being designed to be neutral and not directly linked to a third runway decision.
* Future of the Third Runway (Expansion):
* For information on property compensation, residents can contact the Community Relations Line (0800 307 7996).
This group brings together representatives from Heathrow Airport, the government, and local community groups to discuss issues like aircraft noise and airspace management.
