Heathrow Airport Community Investment Update. At a Heathrow Local Communities Forum meeting we watched a presentation on the its programme to invest in local communities.
Heathrow Airport has a programme of community investment initiatives that aims to connect communities around the airport. It invests in the local community including green projects and with young people.
The company has a Giving Back programme that has three pillars
- The World of Work
- The Local Environment
- Connecting communities
The third pillar – Connecting Communities – includes the Community Trust. The latter has three main strands – environment, communities , and young people.
Funding is available periodically via an application process.
Recent funding from Heathrow Airport for Stanwell Moor includes renovating the disabled toilet at the village Hall, and rebuilding the flower bed at Pocket Park.
