Standing Up for Stanwell Moor

Stanwell Moor Residents Association (SMRA) will be standing up for Stanwell Moor in 2025 when the Heathrow Third Runway expansion project is announced.

From active dialogue with Heathrow Airport SMRA is closely monitoring developments and presenting our case.

The Guardian on 26 January 2025, reported that airport expansion is coming regardless.

We will soon know from the chancellor of the exchequer Rachel Reeves whether she is giving Heathrow Airport the endorsement it is looking for.

What is different this time is that easterly alternation planning application will go ahead regardless of the airport expansion and would lead to more flights over our village; and secondly, the Government are likely to reform planning to speed up the approval for expansion. 

We will be ready to represent the village with a list of demands that put residents first.

Once the Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced her decision on airport expansion we will be ready to make the case for the Moor.
