Improving the neighbourhood
Volunteers have been clearing up the corner opposite Silverbrook and the river. This improvement was an aim for the Association. It was overgrown and blocking light to the property behind it.
In March 2024 a team of volunteers including Moureen Gordon from the committee cleared up the corner under “Shelley’s tree”, removing the brambles.

The overgrown brambles was a magnet for litter. Four bags were cleared up. Cutting back to its original position means it now gives light to the property adjacent to the tree.
