Spelthorne Council Spring and Summer 2024 events
Spelthorne Borough Council is hosting a variety of events and activities over the summer months from June to September 2024.
The Saturday Morning Craft Club runs for 6 weeks from June 8 to July 13, offering art and craft sessions for children aged 5-9 years old. The sessions take place on Saturdays from 10am-11am or 11:30am-12:30pm at the Spelthorne Resource Centre, Staines Park, Commercial Road, Staines-upon-Thames, TW18 2QJ . The cost is £4.80 per session or £28.80 for the full term.
The club provides children the opportunity to take park in art and craft activities, learn new skills and have fun. With guidance from staff the children will be able to make and create their own art and craft masterpieces.

The Music in the Park events will be held on Sundays from June 2 to September 1, from 2-4pm. These free, family-friendly events will take place at two locations – The Walled Garden in Sunbury-on-Thames, and the Lammas Band Stand in Staines-upon-Thames. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets, and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Public Spaces Protection Order
rom May 2024 Stanwell Moor has the benefit of a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) banning Heathrow cabs on its roads. The village has been lobbying Spelthorne Borough Council and Heathrow Airport for action against private hire cabs clogging its roads, littering its streets and abusing residents. This is positive news demonstrating that our village can confidently make its case for action with key stakeholders responding to its needs.
